  • Agents can now capture keypad (touch-tone) input on phone calls. When a caller keys a value in, such as a phone number or a reference code, the agent receives the digits exactly as pressed instead of transcribing them from speech, and reads them back to confirm. It is on by default for every agent; set keypad_capture_enabled: false on POST /agents or PATCH /agents/{id} to turn it off, and read it back on any agent response. Applies to phone (Twilio and SIP) agents; browser calls have no keypad.

  • Connect your Odoo CRM and your voice agents can recognise the caller, read their open leads, keep the contact current, and file answered calls, all during the call in your own Odoo. It works across Odoo 16 through 19: connect with your instance URL, database, and API key (Odoo 16 to 18 also take the user's login), then grant each agent read to look things up or write to make changes. See the Integrations API reference.

  • Connect a Calendly account and your voice agents can offer real availability, book the meeting, and read back what is already scheduled, all during the call. Connect once with a personal access token or through OAuth, then grant each agent read to quote times or write to book. See the Calendly guide and the Integrations API reference.

  • The new Google Calendar integration is now in beta. Connect a Google account and your agents can check availability, offer open times, and book, reschedule or cancel meetings during a call. Connect through OAuth, then grant each agent read or write. While our Google verification is under review the consent screen shows an unverified-app warning, which is safe to approve. See the Google Calendar guide.

  • Custom tools can now call GET endpoints, not just POST. When you define a tool for an agent, choose the HTTP method it uses, so a read-only API that expects a GET works without wrapping it in a POST. Existing tools keep working unchanged. See Tools.

  • Public agents let you embed a voice agent in a website or mobile app with no API key. Turn on public_access for an agent and a browser or app can start a call using only the agent's id, with no proxy and no key to leak. Restrict which sites may embed it with allowed_origins, or leave it open to any origin. You are billed for public calls as usual, and platform limits guard against abuse. See the agent fields and Start a call.

  • The @aethexai/react SDK now works in React Native, so the same useAethexCall() hook and the AethexVoiceOrb widget power voice calls in your iOS and Android apps as well as on the web. Native builds run on react-native-webrtc in an Expo dev build, and the web path is unchanged. See the React SDK guide.

  • Run a SurveyMonkey survey as a phone call. Give the new SurveyMonkey integration a public survey link, a voice, and a language, and Aethex builds a voice agent that calls your participants, asks the survey's questions in a natural conversation, and writes their answers back onto the form automatically when the call ends. Point POST /integrations/surveymonkey at your survey to get started; see the SurveyMonkey guide and the Integrations API reference.

  • SIP trunks can now dial outbound numbers in national format. Some carriers expect the destination as a local national number rather than full +E.164, which previously caused those calls to fail. Set outbound_dial_format to national on your trunk and Aethex sends numbers in the format the carrier accepts. See SIP trunking.

  • Added the @aethexai/react SDK for embedding voice agents directly in your web app. The useAethexCall() hook manages the full WebRTC call lifecycle, so you can drop in a prebuilt call widget or build your own UI on top of it. It ships with ESM, CommonJS, and TypeScript types, is server-side-rendering safe, and connects through a proxy you host so your API key never reaches the browser. Install it with npm install @aethexai/react react react-dom.

  • Added opt-in auto-refill so your agents never stop mid-campaign for want of credits. Choose a credit pack and a balance threshold in your billing settings, and Aethex tops you up automatically against your saved card the moment your total credits reach that level. It is off by default, can be turned off at any time, and every top-up appears as a receipt on your Invoices tab.

  • Warm call transfers now brief the person receiving the call. When an agent hands a call off with the built-in transfer_to_number tool, it first speaks a short summary of the conversation (who is calling, what they need, and any details already gathered) to the person receiving the transfer before connecting them. This happens automatically on every warm transfer, and the summary is saved on the call as the new read-only transfer_summary field so you can review it afterward.

  • Added an official TypeScript SDK alongside the Python SDK. Install it with npm install aethexai to synthesize speech, transcribe audio, build voice agents, place calls, and read usage with full TypeScript types. See TypeScript SDK.

  • The billing dashboard's Invoices tab now includes PAYG overage receipts alongside subscription invoices, sorted newest first. GET /billing/invoices returns a type field so integrations can distinguish subscription invoice rows from payg_overage receipt rows.

  • Added a batch calling API to launch and track bulk outbound call jobs from a single request. Submit a list of recipients to POST /calls/batch, then list, fetch, cancel, retry, or delete jobs under /calls/batch. See Calls API.

  • POST /calls/trigger now accepts per-call dynamic_variables to personalize an agent's prompt for each call. Values stored on the agent act as defaults that the request overrides, and secret__-prefixed values are injected only into custom-tool headers, never into prompts or logs. See Personalization.

  • Added an official MCP server so you can drive Aethex from Claude, Cursor, Codex, and other Model Context Protocol clients. Launch it with uvx aethexai-mcp and point it at your API key, and an assistant can synthesize speech, transcribe audio, build voice agents, place calls, and read usage through the public API. See MCP server.

  • Added SIP trunking so you can connect your own carrier or PBX to Aethex and route inbound and outbound calls through your voice agents over SIP. SIP trunking is enabled per account during onboarding; see SIP trunking to get started.

  • Added call.ended and recording.ready outbound webhooks. First create a tenant signing secret with POST /usage/webhook-secret/rotate, then set a webhook_url on an agent (POST /agents or PATCH /agents/{agent_id}) to receive call.ended with call metadata and the final transcript when a call finishes, and recording.ready with a presigned audio_url once the recording uploads. Both are signed with HMAC-SHA256 in the X-Aethex-Signature header; see Webhooks.

  • Aethex is now generally available. The voice API and the official Python SDK are production-ready.
